I noticed there is a lack of any sort of readme or credits file... Did you create all of these models? Gather them from the web? Some sort of credit info needs to be given here.

no, some, where to start- how bout MM and JMS. I made the higher poly ships between patches 158
and 163 as 158 wouldn't play for me and to see what could be done in the game. They were edit from
much larger Lightwave and Max models I've had for years from sources I've long forgotten. I posted
a finished set as a response to your question in the other thread and then shared here for others to play
with as they see fit.

left it in did I. The little lady like it, easy enough to take out. The set I play with also has
a Roger Young, the drop ship and Sulaco from Aliens, and a Protector. The other freighter has more
pods. The Vorlon ship shouldn't be there ether but I like that model. oh the satt is really Voyager.
Maybe next I'll play with the VehicleSizes.txt and have a real "Interstellar Alliance".

Made a new shipset with lower poly counts. Also has a Hyperion and new freighter. Should play better.

Now,

For a computer programming idiot...how can I make this wonderful shipset work with the Balance mod?

The readme.txt in his mod tells how to add shipsets (Custom Races).

Thank you again BlackSwan.

Just covering all my bases and asking this question in each thread that you posted your shipsets:

Is the IAv2.rar file the most recent copy version of these files? I am going to send a link to the PBW admins so they can add these ships to their approved ship list. Also, can/will you be making a small set of flags for the BM mod for the IA shipset?

Yes v2 is the most recent. The first set I was experimenting to see which 3d &
texturing programs worked best for me and how hi to push the poly count for the game.
Really hated to cut back on the Sharlin and Narn GQuan.

They still look amazing. The IA shipset is now my official favorite. Eye-wink This is why I am trying to get it on PBW. Those folks are harder to contact than I thought. Every e-mail link on the PBW website is outdated. I have posted the link on the PBW forums and e-mailed a couple names identified as admins that I found posting in the forums. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope they get my messages. I want to start another PBW game but am holding back until I can use your shipset.

Yep, my favorite too. B5 ships are the best looking IMHO (may Mr.Spock forgive me).
That's why I took the Alliance rout instead of making each race for my first set
to get my favorite B5 ships in the game. Sure took a long time learning how and all.
The Shadows set is simple in comparison they took only about 6 hours. Wasn't going to
make a set of them cause I thought they would be too dark, but made one ship to see
and liked what I saw.

Simply throw it into your Empires folder in SE5 after unzipping.

Well, you did an excellent job putting in a nice selection of ships from the IA member races. I am very impressed and thankful you took the time to do it.

Keep it coming Smiling Your work has actually inspired me to view all episodes and movies of B5 again. The CGI is dated by today's norms but the story arcs make that a minor point.

Very nice.

I have no idea how you create an electronic "model" of a ship but my offer still stands. Should you need any ship stats, designs, for these vessels I have the complete set of Agents of Gaming Babylon 5 Wars books. They are complete with designs of all sizes of vessels and pictures. Every B5 race you can think of and their ships...to include Carriers, Battleships, Frigates, etc. I even have books for B5 "extinct" races like the Dilgar. It would not be hard for me to send you pictures of any vessel you need.

I'm definitly looking forward to seeing the Mim(n)bari as well as the Narn and the Centauri, also possibly a Vorlon shipset. Any other B5 races would be GREATLY appreciated. I am ALWAYS looking for new empires to add to my game.
