Game freezing on me |
First post here, but I've played both Space Empires 4 and 5, however with my current game I'm having trouble with it freezing between turns. I have a carrier moving towards an enemy system, with around 90 heavy fighters, cloaked, and for some reason if I stop the carrier, have it move back towards my system, or do anything but keep it going towards the enemy system, the game will freeze. This is causing me a good amount of problems, since I sort of need to get through 1 or 2 turns at the very least. Anyone have any idea what the cause may be?

Im having almost the same thing happen.
Im using stock, via steam
Single player
turn based
for me it happens when its processing after all the turns done by the computers (the lil blue line just gets about half way and then stops) Sometimes it happens, sometmes I can get through it, and I think I got through it because I did something different and it worked.

You could send savegames to se5 at malfador dot com which show this freeze.

A few basic questions, since the answers that will help others troubleshoot this.
1: What version of SE V do you have? (should be 1.63)
2: Are you playing the stock game or with a mod?
3: Single Player or Multiplayer?
4: Turn Based Movement or Simultaneous Movement?
