Supply Transfer Bug. |
Hi All,
I'm trying to transfer supplies to a stranded ship in space, and when i transfer supplies to it, the supplies from the supply ship go down, but the stranded ships supplies don't go up.
I did this previously with a fighter group and there was no problems.
Also, when this ship was in a fleet, it would only move 1 space as it had no supply (thus not using the supply of the fleet.
here are before and after pictures.. (actually there isn't as i don't know how to post em !)
Is this a valid bug or not?
Cheers.

Re: Supply Transfer Bug.
yaaa. i'm not sure why units in cargo take supply first. seems wrong to me
as for fleet supply sharing. it take 2 turns for your empty ship to have full movement after joining a fleet.
The supplies are transfered at the end of the turn...
Soo..
Ship joins fleet with no supply -- fleet has 1/1 movement -- End Turn
Supplies balanced throughout fleet but empty ship keeps original movement(from having no supply) -- 1/13 movement -- End Turn
Fleet has full movement -- 13/13
Re: Supply Transfer Bug.
Can't you transfer supply from fleet to empty ship and THEN join?

Re: Supply Transfer Bug.
yes.
but you'll notice that when you transfer supplies to an empty ship the movement goes from 1/1 to 1/13 or whatever your max move is. you still only get one movement for that turn.
so in the end you still have to wait at least one turn before you get full movement.

Re: Supply Transfer Bug.
I had somewhat the opposite problem recently... I wanted to scrap a ship, but first I wanted to dump the supplies on a nearby planet... but the ship kept auto-resupplying when I moved it away from the "poor" planet towards the scrap yard planet.

Re: Supply Transfer Bug.
If you instruct the ship to specifically dump most of its supplies (or do it manually if it's a sequential turn game) before heading to the scrap yard, it shouldn't resupply on its own afterwards.

Playing Touhou games (Go here if interested . No, nobody else is that good/insane as that replay). No rush for SE V bug fixing.

Re: Supply Transfer Bug.
I've figured out what was going on.
The stranded ship was a satellite layer, with a couple of satellites in storage.
When i transferred supplies, even though i had clicked on the ship (as opposed to the satellites in the transfer window) it was transferring the supplies to the satellites.
So i launched the satellites, and transferred the storage from them to the ship ..
I presume this is a bug albeit a minor one.
