Mines laid without my intervention |
As a scared chicken might lay an egg, my Mine Layer, which was sitting on one of my planets with its cargo full of mine, laid ALL its mine when the planet was attacked! The Mine Layer took no damage whatsoever, but all the mines it contained before the attack are now sitting in space at the planet location.
Anyone had this happen too? Is this a bug?

Re: Mines laid without my intervention
There's a setting within all strategies that controls unit launching. By default, vehicles that can launch items will do so during combat. It's not always a bad idea as mines can cause damage during combat.

Re: Mines laid without my intervention
ya i've had that happen. all the strategies are defaulted to
Luanch All Units During Combat = True
its not so bad with things other than mines cause you can pick them up again and they actually fight during the combat (added bonus is that sats draw your pursuer away allowing your ship a better chance of escape)
on a side note. is there a way to make ships/units flee off the map instead of circling around the edge??
the only way i can get them to leave the map is if they meet the "defeated" criteria which involves ships being damaged.

Re: Mines laid without my intervention
nevermind i figured it out. right in front of my face!

Re: Mines laid without my intervention
What kind of strategic orders did it have?
