Mine Sweepers Don't Auto-Sweep? |
A ship with mine sweepers does not seem to auto-sweep mines when it enters a sector. When my ship with two level 9 minesweepers warped into a sector that had mines, the mines severely damaged it, even though it had more than enough minesweepers to remove the mines. I've also seen the sector from the other side before, so I knew it had mines. Do ships only sweep mines when specifically ordered to or are warp point minefields an exception to auto-sweeping?

Re: Mine Sweepers Don't Auto-Sweep?
Why does cloaking seem to shut everything else down? This suddenly seems to have become an issue in 1.58 - I've noticed that it won't even let solar collectors and ordnance vats work properly if you're cloaked. Has it always been this way? Is there a way to change this behavior for specific components? It seems silly that cloaking would prevent some of the things it does prevent now.

Re: Mine Sweepers Don't Auto-Sweep?
AFAIK you've never been able to sweep mines when cloaked. Quantum reactors have never generated supplies when cloaked either. I doubt that there are any things cloaked ships can't do since 1.58 that they could before.
Re: Mine Sweepers Don't Auto-Sweep?
Does stealth armor prevent auto mine-sweeping?

Re: Mine Sweepers Don't Auto-Sweep?
It might if it's activated, because it uses the same cloak command.

Re: Mine Sweepers Don't Auto-Sweep?
Was your ship cloaked? A cloaked ship won't sweep mines but otherwise mines are swept as soon as you enter the sector.
