I don't think we can do this on our own , but I would like to see the idea of Culture points returned to the game.
From looking through things, it seems that Culture was similar to Research. Different structures would generate Culture points, which would be spend to research different Cultural Achievements. This would be done separatly from tech research.
I think this would have added some nice depth to the game. Setting the AI up to do this would be no problem for me, so I'm certain it would be no big deal for Malfador (who, undoubtedly, have a better grasp on such things than I do).
The building models already exist, and the abililities for this are listed in the SE5_Modding.pdf file. Seems to me than most of the groundwork to make this a reality already exists in the game. Since the structure would be very similar to Research, I doubt it would need any seriously different coding. This would add another tradeoff (do I build for resource, construction, intel, research, or culture) AND rate of investment would provide another factor to differentiate between races.
Any chance of this being included?
