problem with planets listing

Submitted by bert on Sun, 2007-10-21 03:02. Space Empires V General

Hi all,

I'm on SEV 1.44 and BM 1.09 (will upgrade soon but wanted to finish my current game).

I normally have the planets filter set to "colonizable and empty" but recently spent a few minutes switching between different filters and now my listing is completely scr***ed and I can't get it back to normal - it seems to show several listings one after the other so that I get a list of 20 - 30 planets in alpha order then another block of planets in alpha order and so on.

The colonizable and empty start about 3/4 of the way down the complete listing. I've tried switching to "special" as this is usually just a couple of planets then back and that doesn't help.

It's not a show-stopper but is a bit annoying as I have to scroll down a long way (I'm playing a medium map in Paradise quadrant) - anyone have a workaround to get it back to normal? is it a know problem?

I've been playing SEV for a few weeks now but haven't seenanything like this before...

Hi Spuda,

I can right click the bar and change the filtering options but when I go back to "colonizable and empty" I still get this multiple listing. E.g. I change the filter to "special" and I get a couple of planets listed - the ones with ruins - but when I go back to "colonizable and empty" I still get multiple listings concatenated together - or that's what it appears to be.

Might be because I am playing with so many planets, I forget what my starting condtions were but I have about 3/4 of the quandrant displayed and gave colonized 300+ planets, probably about half of the total planets and have approx 100+ planets listed as colonizable, allied or enemy owned.

Edit: I'm at turn 190 and this only happened about 10 turns ago.
