SE:V v1.56 History

The latest changelog from the beta. A few nice fixes/additions here!

Version 1.56:
1. Fixed - You were unable to login as a computer player in a Simultaneous Same Machine Game.
2. Fixed - AI was not operating correctly.
3. Fixed - "Supply Storage" and "Ordnance Storage" were not working for facilities on planets.
4. Added - Formula function "is_planet_domed".
5. Fixed - Sometimes the highlighted solar system on the quadrant map would remain when the mouse was moved elsewhere.
6. Fixed - Sometimes you could get a component to activate multiple times even if it was destroyed on the first use.
7. Added - "Upgrade Queues" button on the Designs window. This will upgrade one design to another throughout all of
the empire's construction queues.
8. Fixed - The Transfer Cargo window was not showing the correct amounts in Simultaneous Games.
9. Fixed - The Transfer Cargo window would change list positions when adding an order in Simultaneous Games.
10. Fixed - The Transfer Units and Transfer Cargo windows now blank the edit box when you click on it.
11. Added - Additional specific types to Load Cargo Remotely and Drop Cargo Remotely orders.

Reminds me of another game I play, someone said something about being shocked such an important fix was listed in such a short and simple manner.

Does this mean the Drushocka will stop sending their stupid ships (such as colony ships) through warp points I got heavily guarded? Or perhaps their groups of ships will actually stop in a system and load up on supplies instead of simply flying strait to a location and running out of supplies before they get there?

#2 refers to a bug introduced in v1.55 that messed up the AI. Sticking out tongue

Wow! Will this be the biggest Space Empires V (or even including IV) update/patch ever? Version 1.44 to maybe this version 1.56? Twelve change logs in one update.

Version 1.56:

I really like the previous two change logs showing the improvements of allied diplomacy and colony ownership memory.

No 4 is for the modders, who want the AI to do specific things... like.... scrap population or build an atmosphere generator. Nice.

I think this has been brought up before, but enabling ROF control via weapon mount modifiers would be a really really handy thing. Any chance this will ever be added?

I was rooting for #7, but thought it would be too much of a bother to implement.
#5 is a nice fix. um,, did they ever implement my tiny suggestion of highlighting the system an event took place in when you go through the log??

Kwok: I think you said 1.56 would be the last version before patch release. Will you have a new version of the Balance Mod to go with this patch? If not, will the old Balance Mod work with the new patch? I love the Balance Mod and would like to start a new game when the patch is out.

as he said new BM will not work withe previous saves and will be ready at patch day ( or few hrs later)

I don't know if #4 applies to AI scripts, but what it *will* allow (along with the fix for the Planetary Maximum Population ability from v1.54 or 1.55) is "habitat facilities" which provide, say, 1000M extra population capacity on an undomed world and 200M extra on a domed world... Eye-wink

as it was a simple case of a double letter I'd say it was a typo, although the newbie comment was uncalled for, especially considering the AI error in question (as kwok pointed out) was only in a beta anyway.
