If I have for example three carriers at a planet and have 90 fighters on the planet: 30 missile fighters, 30 anti-fighter fighters and 30 beam fighters.
I want to distribute the three types evenly over the carriers, putting the af-fighters on first so they're first off.
I select af-fighters, load 10 onto the first carrier.
I then load 10 onto the next carrier, and lo and behold, the remaining 10 af-fighters have jumped down to the end of the list and I now have missile fighters selected.
This happens regularly - it's not a once off thing and it can be quite irritating.
Anybody else noticed this behaviour. I've looked around but the forum is so big now and covers so many releases that it's impossible to be sure it hasn't been reported before (or maybe I'm the only one who does this kind of thing

It sounds like they could be sorting in the order they were built - just like ships do on the Fleet listings.
It might help to move them individually rather than in groups. Most of the time units keep their order - thats how we get supplies listed at the bottom of the list.
Or you could try loading some other kind of unit (troops'd be handy) as a barrier and see if they can sort themselves around it. Then when your done pull the barrier unit out and see if they resort themselves.
I hope that makes sense when someone other than myself reads it.
If that doesn't help, my last try would be to load when only one ship is available at the location, and move it away before loading the next ship.
