The combat ship explosions usually don't work or their is a 5-10 second delay before they do work and that is seldom. I'm using the balance mod v.109. I turn Music OFF and Effects ON. I have 2 brand new Hewlat Packard computers, 1 desktop and one laptop. Same sound effects problem with both computers.

I even copied SOUND and SOUNDEFFECTS file to BALANCE Mod and still sound effects often do not work.

I have noticed that when I start a standard game (no mod), at first, the sound effects work but later on in the game the sound effects are inconsistent (don't work, work sometimes).

Anybody else run across this problem?
