Problems with German Version |
Hi!
I recently bought the german seV Version and I have a big Problem with the diplomacy: There isnt any working! After about 30hours of play I havent received any message or answer to my messages/contract suggestions from the computer players. Even after updating the game to 1.44 there is no change in the situation.
The other thing is that mods like the balancing mod(which seems very interesting) that where built for the american version dont work with the german.
Is there an easy way to get things working or do I have to learn scripting or find out where to get the american version without having a credit card?
Please help!!!

Yes, you can. Probably with some editing required, but basically you can use mods.

By some, he means "a lot". Aren't the data field names and function names translated?

Lots of computer languages have synonyms. The same thing can be done for scripting. What they should've done is make a list of synonyms for the game to use instead of fully substituting the terms.
Too late now, I guess.

Mein Vorschlag: Warte einfach noch ein bissl, bis patch 1.52 (oder so..) raus ist.
My suggestion: Wait a little until patch 1.52 (or so) is released.

The German version also has the English version that you can install with diplomacy working and allows you to use mods etc.
