Funny population issues.

Submitted by tyro_maven on Mon, 2007-08-20 11:42. Space Empires V General

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed multiple instances of your own (and other immigrated empires') population on some of their planets.

I had a few planets go rogue (insufficient intelligence defence in the early game) and recaptured them. I think it was the reintroduction of these populations after "capturing" the planets back that created new instances of my own population. Obviously they've been tagged "dirty rotten traitors" and will bear the stigma forever.

I'm playing V1.44 with the Nameless AI mod (great mod btw, has handed me a few surprises, looking forward to the next one).

Yes, I've noticed multiple instances of my own population before. I'm not entirely sure where they came from.

I had a planet break away from my empire and start their own (catastrophic random event).

Later I met them and had a migration treaty with them. I now have 2 lines of population on each of my planets. They have the same race name, and stats, but they are a tad bit more unhappy then my native populations.

The AI (stock)isn't sure what to do with them, since I told it NOT to create random neutral empires. They are stuck way back behind my front lines, and don't have any ships outside the 'home' system.

As a side note, there were 5 total empires to start with, I now have 6 (six) races in my empire.
