Unable to Play SE IV and SE V |
Ok, a bit frustrated here. First with SE V:
Just bought the package deal off of the steam site. I go to start SE V, and nothing. It goes to a white or black screen no matter what combo I try to use in the settings at the start-up menu.
For SE IV, I click the "Play" button and nothing happens. I have tried the resolution fix suggested, but nothing. This sucks.
My PC Specs:
AMD 3200+, ASUS X800 PRO GTO (with the latest drivers), 2gig OCZ Ram, Soundblaster Audigy 2zs Platinum, XP Pro.

Have you tired the "Windowed" mode from the grafic settings?
You can also try changing "Support Multithreading" from Settings.txt ind the Data folder.

Noone mentioned changing the folder of the game; "support multithreading" is a value in SE5\Data\Settings.txt.

hi there,
Is your desktop set to 1024 x 768 x 16 or more as se5 won`t run on a smaller video setting.
also try the 3D Device Direct3d T&L Hal
this fixed my setup issues?

There's also a "safe mode" you can activate. This has done wonders for some machines.

You might be better off contacting Steam tech support... We can't really do much other than guess as to what has gone wrong with your Steam setup.
