You know how in your Log, if you double click on an entry which states that something was built, it will jump to that planet? Well, I used that all the time, constantly. But in the last 2 save games that double click functionality suddenly stopped working. It was fine last night but now it won't work, and I haven't changed the game at all it is still v1.44. Did I inadvertently turn something off? Thanks much if you can help.

I haven’t had that happen but I have had hot keys stop working. Mostly the “M” move to hot key. I select my ships to move, click “M”, then click the hex I want them to move to and my ships us-select. This seems to happen about turn 20, even W fail at times. I have found that M works if it in the same system but if you want your ships to move to another point in another system it fails. This has only happen sense the last patch1.44.

Is there a "go to" button on the side menu? or was that SEIV?

he just said the go to button doesnt work anymore either.
That would point to SE 5 being the usual culprit.

I've had hotkeys stop working in combat. I pause/resume and change speeds frequently, and the hotkeys are just easier to use than the mouse.
Restarting the program has always cured it for me.

Works fine for me. Running 1.44
So it must be system specific, running windows Vista by chance.

If it only happens in a game only then look at your empires settings.
If it happens in all games then I would look at the Game Menu/Options.

I'm in big trouble. The last few save games are like that. Even the "Go To" button in the Log wouldn't work. This means when I go through the Log in each turn I have to note the name of the planet and its number, search for the system on the map, then zoom in and search fot the planet....for each and every event that I want to have follow up actions on. Please, if someone can help I'd really appreciate this. There are no toggles anywhere that seems to set this. It just stopped working.
