Balance Mod 1.09 Smaller weapons questions.

Have 1.44 with BM1.09. Have level 5 in smaller weapons. Have level 2 in energy stream and projectile weapons. Could not design a fighter or troop with Duc2 or Apb2 didnt show on list only showed lvl 1 weapons. Components.txt file has requirement 1 Name of tech >= (1 + ((level - 1) * 2). Not sure if i understand how this works but assumming level is 2 then this turns in 1 + (2 - 1) * 2 which equals 3 which is nvr going to be true. So in file just for testing i changed the 2 to a 1 for duc and apb, can now design troop/fighter with duc2/apb2 on them. Was this what u intended and i'm missing the point or missing some other reason or is this a bug in the formula.

In Balance Mod 1.09 you get a new small weapon, each odd number of weapon research.
This means lvl1 Smaller Weapons + Level 1 in Energy Stream gives level 1 Anti-Proton Beam. The next Small Anti-Proton Beam is available with lvl 2 Smaller Weapons and lvl 3 Energy Stream.

Calvin is correct. They have two requirements. Most small weapons require the tech area Smaller Weapons 1-6 and levels 1-3-5-7-9-11 of their base tech area like Energy Stream or Energy Pulse weapons.
