Troubles with multiplayer SE-5 |
Hello,
Recently, my brothers and I bought SE V, it seem to be 1.30 versión, so at "readme" file, seems to be 1.33.
Whe have throubles to play with different computers in multiplayer mode (research queues seem to be alterated without any explanation), we thougth that we need to apply a patch, and when we downloaded all patches, any of them work on our original copy of SE V.
I think that it is not professional
Regards and forgive me for my bad english.
Vladimir
Re: Troubles with multiplayer SE-5
Vladimir,
1. Make sure you are running version 1.44
2. VERY IMPORTANT - Make sure the HOST computer ends his turn BEFORE the other computers.
Re: Troubles with multiplayer SE-5
USE PBW for your game of SE 5.
Link
TCP/IP is a joke dont waste your time with it like i did :/
Re: Troubles with multiplayer SE-5
He already has it working Journier...the only problem is that the Host must end their turn first (it's a bug for sure.) We have had the same problem, but other than that our TCP/IP game is going well.
Re: Troubles with multiplayer SE-5
If you have a localized version of the game, you cannot apply the English (American) language patches. Patches for localized versions are provided by the distributer (generally Empire Interactive). The distributors are not always very fast at localizing the patches.
Some people have reported that they had an option to install an English version of the game from their localized copy, that could then be patched with the official 1.44 patch.

Re: Troubles with multiplayer SE-5
from what i have read is the TCP/IP is all messed-up and will have to do pbw.
