Seems like i cant start the game, help please?

Hello, i would be happy if some one could help me fill my need to play this game once again. i had it installed on my machine (amd64x2 3200 xp64 7900gs) and it worked out just fine, no problem or anything. and then i got bored with it for some time, and recently i got the urge for it once again. but it will just not start.

i only get a black window when i try, cant get out of it anyway either i have to restart the computer. i have restalled patched checked drivers, all the usual stuff. but still nothing seems to be working. same error, i did also try to reduce uhmm machineacceleration (?), at half setting (disables directdraw, direct3d and some more stuff) i did get a change. now the screen just turned grey and i COULD exit the game. an improvement but not the one that i was looking for.
could anyone help me please?
