1.44, Ship Report Icons

Submitted by Nevyn on Mon, 2007-07-30 14:48. Space Empires V General

I've observed this in all mods I play and stock, so suspect it's either a stock game bug or my directory is corrupted somehow.

When viewing a ships report and looking at the components on it in the tactical combat screen, Most of the components are using the wrong icon. On investigation of the Components.bmp it appears that they are all refering the top row in the file, regardless of which row the component is actually in. Correct column, but allways the top row.

The icon is correct in the design stage of the process, and also if you bring up details of the component the larger icon is correct. Only the small quick reference icon is wrong, and it makes it very hard to identify what components a ship has.

Never seen that before, but I'm new to the game. Does it happen in the simulator and in the real deal?

Using safe mode corrects this behaviour. But slows down the game... Also, do you have the latest graphic drivers?

Far as I know I have the latest drivers for my card, as of a week ago anyway, it's a fairly old card, so not some super new 512 meg or anything. Never had this issue before.

It's probably a problem with older cards. I have it with Geforce2 MX and GeForce4 Ti 4200.

I never used to have this issue till the 1.44 patch however, so something seems to have changed.
