Best mod for current version?

Just what the title says, what does everyone think is the best mod with the last path (1.44)? I'm thinking about playing the game again but really never liked the base game. I really liked IRM but I last I heard the maker said he's going to stop work on it and have no idea if the last version (anyone know the last version number for IRM? My download might be out of date!). I also like using FQM, but that's easy to put in with the various mods. So gameplay was, which mod would people recommened using? I know alittle to adjust some of the stuff I don't like but it's only just alittle tweaking with componants and stuff. Don't know enough to mess with combat systems and stuff like that. Thanks gang!

There is no such thing as a "best" mod. Which mod you like the most is based entirely on personal preference; there is no objective standard by which mods can be rated for "bestness." Every individual will have a favorite mod, certainly, but the question of "best" is impossible to answer.

Its not that there is a best mod there a selection of very good mods about BM IRM Unnameds stock AI mod and a number of partial Mods which Change parts of the game but not all of it. Mods can be combined the IRM & BM include a grapics partial mod the FQM for example.

The best Mod is very much your favorite mod so try them all. My personal farorite is the IRM but I also Like Unnameds stock AI mod & have combined it with the Ground combat mod.

Personally I use the balance mod. Kwok is on vacation, so the release of 1.09 designed specifically for 1.44 was delayed (should be out real soon), but I started a game with 1.44 and balance mode 1.08 and am having no issues.

from the point of view of a survey I vote for Balance Mod too, wait for version 1.09 though.

I'm guessing that was his question, are any of the mods current with v1.44. As of right now the answer is no. but I belive balance 1.08 works with 1.44. I don't know about any of the others.

All mods that work with 1.35 should work fine with 1.44. It didn't break any file structures, only added a few more possible functions to call in the AI scripts.
