Solution to Sphereworlds

Submitted by Challenge Space Yard on Wed, 2007-07-04 19:56.

1. Design and build a space yard ship
2. Use that ship, go adjacent to a star, and build a base with the "Sphere World Placement Generator" (expect a long time to complete this, it will probably be useless to activate emergency build)
3. Now build 10 bases with the "Planetary Gravity Plating" component and 10 bases with the "Hyper - Density Cables" component.
Note: You may want to mothball the bases until you can afford maintaining them. Be sure you build stock up very heavily on resources, as such bases will drain them very quickly.
4. Once you get ALL 21 bases done, unmothball them (if you can afford them and are already mothballed), select the base with the "Sphere World Placement Generator" and activate stellar manipulation. Settings Orders > Stellar Manipulation > Construct
5. After conformation (if there is one), the planet will be constructed. You cannot have any ships or colonies within 6 sectors of the star, other than those used to build the sphere/ringworld in order to commit construction. Any non-warp point objects within 6 sectors of the star are destroyed! Warp points are moved instead of destroyed.
Note: You can only do this in systems with only one star, and with no other stellar constructed objects.

Correction: You can use baseships in SE5 instead of starbases.
Anyone know how well getting those 21 baseships cloaked into an enemy system and building a sphereworld there to kill their planets would work?

It's far more simple to send in a suicide frigate to create a nebula/black hole .

But if you want a insta garison . I asume that you want to create a base of operation deep in his empire open a warp rift aka point aka wormhole . Get the 21 bases in his system along whit a coloniser fited for planets like your own homeworld . Ad some freighters whit WP and fighters and you got your base in a can .

As far as bases is concerned, that's still just showing off. Eye-wink

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

That shouldn't happen since the planets themselves are consumed by the construction. It would be funny to see someone pull that off in a hostile system! ("Say, Bob. Wasn't there a full moon out last night?") Laughing out loud

Um if you don;t have the most recent patch you have to make it colonize on the border of the sphere world.
