SE:V MODs
I have been trying to bring some Halo Races into the game but the race portraits won't show up, How do you put custom pictures in game.
Using the balance mod.
Are there any halo mods out there or halo shipsets?

Some people have been having problems with how PhotoShop saves Jpg and Bmp files so try re-saving the pictures with any other program. . . You can even use Paint.
Hope this helps

Also IIRC in BM, if you don't create a folder with the new empire name in the BM empire folder, you won't see the new empire shipset, flag and picture.

You must save bitmaps with "OS/2" format, not "Windows" format, in Photoshop. The "Windows" format inserts different file headers. Whatever graphics library SE uses doesn't always handle them well.

Re: How Would you mod in new races?
Halo would be cool. You have to put them in the right folder, then they appear in the window when your creating the race at game startup. It's pretty simple, but I don't have access to my SEV computer right now. I think it's /pictures/empires or something like that. If you put them in the root /pictures/empire/ folder then they'll appear in every mod. or if you put them in the mod folder in a folder named /pictures/empires/ then they'll only appear in that mod. Again unfortunatly I'm not sure of the exact folder name. I'm sure someone else can help...
SEV, more than a feeling.
