The (now official?) Space Empires 4 Mod Launcher V2.26

It'll be out
It'll be OUT in a couple of weeks, and in our hot, sweating, grubby little hands...
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

Naaa I am sure the ozzies
Naaa I am sure the ozzies will be used to beta test the game (if the release date is for real).
There will probably be a patch at the same time as the next release, with the US or wherever getting version 1.0X.
Anyway i can't wait for the game to get to the UK.
Good, Can't Wait
I can't wait for the updated demo.
Hopefully it will have some of these bugs fixed.
Weak communication policy
Am I the only one who is a bit annoyed by Malfaldor's and/or SF's communication policy?
First it appears, SF is really weak in creating a hype around what could one day be the best turn-based 4X game since MOO2. I mean the hype was much bigger back when SE4 came out. Just look at the activity at this forum and the one over at Shrapnel. It is rather calm in both places.
Now this release in down-under is the latest bit. Not only do they release the game to part of the audience 2 weeks earlier than to the rest (I admit, it also annoys me that I am part of "the rest") but they also do not announce or comment on it at all. Those of us who are regular visitors to the forums are waiting eagerly for any official news but there is just a complete void as far as communication from SF or Malfaldor is concerned.

Room for improvement
I wouldn't say things were calm at either this site of Shrapnel - I mean there's been over a 1000 posts on SE:V at each site in the two weeks or so that the demo has been available. Trying to keep up with both sites requires a lot of time for myself - and a loss of productivity to my workplace.
SFI has been featuring SE:V a lot at their site and newsletters. I don't read or browse other gaming sites so I can't really say how much they are doing outside of their own realm. But that's not so bad, I'd probably wait until the game is released to raise more hoopla - since an updated and more favourable demo will be available.
MM has also been bad about updating their site - that's something I hope improves. The same goes for the SFI moderators here, they could stand to post and interact a bit more info considering this is the "official" site.

Well Gamespot is now saying
Well Gamespot is now saying it's coming out the 5th so who knows what's going on goes to that SEVERE lack of communication.

EBGames and Gamestop are
EBGames and Gamestop are saying pre-orders ship on the 5th/available for pickup on the 6th.

I can recommend strategycore
I can recommend strategycore for a base of relatively-sane level headed people who've vaguely become aware of the game. The mostly focus on the UFO series, but I did skim read a "anyone know anything about this game" question the other day?
I would have made a post but I've been too busy in the office at the moment so it'll have to wait a few days.

It is sort of ironic.
It is sort of ironic. Normally Australia gets stuff late.
The other races and the non-demo tech is nice but I havent had too much time to play around yet and since its version 1.0 there is still alot of bugs like in the demo but there have been fixes mentioned (see the list of changes that are posted on various forums) but i'm guessing there won't be a patch till after it has been released in the states
