Storing enemy Empire Data

Submitted by Scourgey on Thu, 2007-05-17 12:58. Space Empires V General

Is there any way of storing other empire's data?

For example, I scout a planet, I see that another empire has colonised it, now after 5 turns, I forget which planet it is exactly. I don't want to send another scout there, surely there must be something to store this data?

If anyone has a mod that can allow you to do this, please post a link.

If you right click and go to system details, you can write notes down. This way you can keep some sort of in-game record of what you've seen. Otherwise, this is currently the #1 most requested feature.

We've been asking for this since way back in early beta. the best thing you can do is to email aaron and request it. the more email he gets on a feture the more likely he is to implement it.

I so dearly wish he adds something like this. It shouldn't be too hard, but something as simple as in CivIV. Just a half faded out view of the last state of each planet. Something that would make exploring much easier, it would also make the colony minister smarter (since a colonized planet that is out of view shows up as colonizable in the planets list)

Thanks for the replies.

I'm disappointed that this hasn't been implemented. To me it detracts from the gameplay, as I am finding out that late game has so much information to keep track of. I'm not fussed about forgetting ship locations, but planet locations is a big one, along with solar systems.
