Cultural Achievements should hint at what they do |

Cultural Achievements should either be more dirrectly related to the area they benifit, or they should explain what area they're going to benifit.
ie. mathmatics benifiting research points generation. I can imagine a relationship here, but come on this isn't like researching "lab facilities" - this would be obvious.
My solution is to change the discription field for each acievement adding what they do, or at least a hint at what they do.
I've tried this and can't seem to get the new discription to show up in the game... anyone have any ideas why?
Re: Cultural Achievements should hint at what they do
In the SE5 play screen.
Click the help button (the cyan "?" in the upper right of the command bar)
Click the Cultural Achievments button in the upper left.
Select the Cultural Achievment you want a description of from the bar on the left.
Yes, this is a clumbsy way to see the description of the achievments. I think as a result of your post, I will be updationg the description field to have greater detail in my mod.
Great idea.
...on a different note, I just can't stop staring at the hair...the hair...

Re: Cultural Achievements should hint at what they do
I've figured out where each phrase shows up...
CulturalAchievements.txt file
Description field I don't know where this shows up (maybe it's just for editing the txt file)
Abilitiy 1 description: this shows up after you've research it and are feeling the effects. It can be found in empire wide effects windows.
If you wannt a better description of what your researching, this text filed is in the TechAreas.txt file. Man, some of the stock data discriptions and what they do are just crazy...
SEV, more than a feeling.
