Some more obvious would be to reinstall SEV.

On several games, certian codec packs have a tendency to crash games. Do you happen to have sonic or roxio burning programs installed? Have you run dxdiag?

I'll try to think of some more things, but try some of these first (ussually someone more windows inclined will tell you to post a list of your dxdiag here so we can take a look at hardware, drivers, codecs, etc.)

Well that is alot of info, but the complete dxdiag report contains alot more. The rest contains more driver and system information. Then at the end where it has the DirectShow filters which contains the installed codecs. From what I see in the dxdiag so far wouldn't indicate any problems, but there could be something else in that entire dxdiag.txt file that could help. I am not going to guaranty I can decipher the problem, but I can atleast look to see if there is a problem.

And did you try reinstalling SEV?
