What?

Submitted by Rilbur on Sat, 2006-09-30 23:25.

OK, that is way cool... but one would think it was the ship that would be bounced away, given the relative sizes.

It doesn't just go zipping away

Submitted by Phoenix-D on Sat, 2006-09-30 23:48.

If you put enough on it goes zipping so far away you can't FIND it. Sticking out tongue

In SE4 at least you couldn't even use the repulsor on bigger objects. Obviously that limit doesn't apply to SE5..

Make a planet hard to attack: repulse yourself?

Maybe we could use this to move planets to other systems even.

Joke!

Submitted by Master Vitro on Sun, 2006-10-01 09:53.

Heres a joke, a small frigate uses only repulsors and attacks a ship the size of a planet (Worldship) and the worldship flys away and can't attack the frigate!

Re: More repulsor fun.

Does planet stay in its new position? If yes, then i have nasty idea. let enemy colonize planet, make warp point from this hex. Planet and WP is far from each other. But then push planet as close as possible to WP and THEN capture/glass+colonize it. Build LOT of WP on planet and you have superfortress guarding WP.

Imagine doing it with sphereworld. MUHAHA
