Stacking sensors and cloaking

Not sure if this will work but I figured I'd post it before I forget...

You know how Combat Sensors and the Religious Talisman have different Ability Amount 2 values, thus allowing them to stack? I wonder if this works for detection sensors and cloaking, as well? Because if it does... you could have something pretty close to Stars!-style range-based detection!!!

Example:

Cloaking Device (reduces detection radius by 2 hexes)
-- cloak ability, amount1=2, amount2=1

Stealth Armor (reduces detection radius by 1 hex)
-- cloak ability, amount1=1, amount2=2

Mega Cloak (reduces detection radius by 3 hexes)
-- cloak ability, amount1=3, amount2=3

Standard Sensors (range 6, sensor level 6 at range 1, less 1 for each additional hex)
-- sensor level ability, amount1=6, amount2=1
-- sensor range ability, amount1=1, amount2=1
-- sensor level ability, amount1=5, amount2=2
-- sensor range ability, amount1=2, amount2=2
-- sensor level ability, amount1=4, amount2=3
-- sensor range ability, amount1=3, amount2=3
-- sensor level ability, amount1=3, amount2=4
-- sensor range ability, amount1=4, amount2=4
-- sensor level ability, amount1=2, amount2=5
-- sensor range ability, amount1=5, amount2=5
-- sensor level ability, amount1=1, amount2=6
-- sensor range ability, amount1=6, amount2=6

IF this works, then, a ship with Standard Sensors would be able to detect a ship with no stealth at range 6, a ship with a Cloaking Device at range 4, a ship with Stealth Armor at range 5, a ship with Mega Cloak at range 3, and a ship with all three stealth devices not at all...

From the modding documents, it doesn't look like this is possible, but I'll check.

I would be really good if this was possible, but as far as I know the sight level cannot be decreased with range. Even worse: If you have a short range sensor with high detection level and a long range sensor with low detection level on the same ship you get high detection level at longe range!

Really? I could've sworn I'd been far from a minefield (but within basic sensor radius) and not seen it, then moved closer (into tachyon sensor radius) and detected it... but I could be mistaken, or maybe the minefield was just deployed that turn Sticking out tongue Also this was in version 1.25 where minefields were supposedly not cloaking properly, so I really don't know :-/

The power of the ancients is now yours to command. You are truly the Master... of the obvious Sticking out tongue

Verified. Amount 2 does not do anything with Cloaking.
