Space Station help please :( (And some other stuff)

Submitted by CidCaldensfey on Wed, 2007-04-11 18:33. Space Empires V FAQs

Hi there. I just started playing this game and I really like it. The thing is though it's just too vague at some points. So I'll just ask my questions.

1) Is there a way I can have space stations located throughout a solar system? I can't seem to move them for obvious reasons but is there a technology later on that will let me do this?

2) Can I use space stations to construct ships? I have been trying but so far no luck.

3) If I have a resupply depot in a solar system, do all my ships automatically get supplies or do they have to fly to the planet to resupply?

Thanks.

‹ Strange problem with the game. Another question: how do I take it off full-screen/how do i change the hotkeys? ›

For 1 & 2, the item you want is a Space Yard component, which in the stock game is available at Space Yards l0 and above. It can be place on a Space Station to construct ships/units or on a ship, which would allow you to construct bases anywhere you want.

There is a small amount of supplies that can be remotely distributed, but it's much faster to park the ship in the same sector as the Resupply Depot.

Oooh okay. Thanks!!!

I have another question though. When I go to create a fighter and let it do auto-complete, the auto-complete shows up with equipment that I can't select for my fighter under 'available equipment'. For instance my fighter has 'small armor' but no where on the list do I see 'small armor', so if I remove it I can't place any on the fighter :[

SOulds like a bug... Remember that you can use the shift+click to place multiple copies of the element you currently hold.

I know that I can do some resupply with Solar Collector, but please, can you tell me exactly how you move ordnance for base if there is planet+base+ship with ordnancy in the same sector?

I'm sorry that I (too) have so many new player questions, but manual is not very detailed. Anyhow, if I learned to play MoO3, I propably will learn also to play SEV...

Adv. thanks

You can manually transfer supplies using the transfer cargo order. For example, park a supply ship in the same sector and then transfer the base supplies or ordnance.

A few solar collectors on a base is always a good idea though.

Thanks, Captain Kwok. It's easy when you know, difficult if you don't...
