Star Wars Shipset?

Yeah, there are models available. But the textures aren't attached (they are included, just not attached). I've sent them off to many modders, but everyone lost interest, I guess. Probably because the Warp Point system is so anti Star Wars universe that most modders don't see the point in doing the Star Wars ship sets.

Also, the models were more detailed than standard SE5 models, but the tests showed they still ran fine in the game.

Anyway, I've lost most of my interest in SEV and have been spending a lot of time beta testing Sins of a Solar Empire (kinda like a real time Space Empires V + Homeworld 2). I am just in the beta stage of SoaSE, and SEV doesn't hold a candle to it. You can bet you'll see Star Wars models in that game.

I don't think the WPs have much to do with it; SE has always had a plethora of Star Wars shipsets available, dating all the way back to SE3.

Good point. Then I don't know why nobody has finished off the tons of finished 3D models I gave out.

I have almost finished an Imperial shipset. I'm thinking of releasing it with the stock Terran weapons platform, drone, mine, and satellite models. Besides being busy IRL, my computer-gaming time is also consumed by scenario work for Supreme Ruler 2010, and working out the basic details for my SE5 Star Wars mod (reconciling the sense of scale I want to portray with practicality has been a major headache).

Yeah, I can imagine scale would be a huge issue with a Star Wars shipset. When I tested out the models I got from EvilleJedi (that were already scaled properly), my smaller ships could not even be seen and my SSD was bigger than the planets.
