Will stars collapse in artificial worlds? |
I notice the stars and the worlds built around them are seperated. Does it mean the star may collapse if you have a super good luck?
In SEIV the world and star are one and unable to be destroyed by massive destruction weapons. And I've never seen any built world self destroyed in SEIV.
Do you have some different experience?

Re: Will stars collapse in artificial worlds?
I believe that he was asking if the star destrotying weapons will work at a ringworld or sphereworld; because he mentions weapons. I do not know the answer.

Re: Will stars collapse in artificial worlds?
And almost sure will not. It's a remnant from SE4, and even then did not work. Only flavor text.

Re: Will stars collapse in artificial worlds?
The 'unstable star' text in SE4 was just flavour, however the star destruction event, where you get a message in you log stating that such and such star has become unstable and will explode in X turns did work in SE4. It doesn't work in SE5 at the moment.

Re: Will stars collapse in artificial worlds?
That'd be awesome, if they got it to work. Big exodus like scenes/events, where you need to ship out all of the population of say, your home system, through hostile territory, into a place capable of supporting them all. It'd be wicked.

Re: Will stars collapse in artificial worlds?
The star destruction event doesn't actually work at the moment, so for the time being you have nothing to worry about.
