Space Empires V General
in 2 games now I have had a situation where I have a homeworld system later colonized by another empire. We then enter a treaty that includes "non-aggression in all systems" I am then unable to colonize there anymore "denied due to treaty restrictions".
Is this caused by the non-agression? The only other treaty element in the treaty view is "trade up to 30%"
How do I "claim" a system. There used to be a setting in SE4 that you claimed all systems you colonize. I cannot find that anymore.

Re: System ownership & treaties
Yes, it is caused by the non-agression treaty.
If You had signed it before that empire colonized the planet, the treaty would have prevented him doing so. You automaticaly clain all systems You colonize, but same happens with your opponents, and the treaty then applies to both.
Take a look to the "Banana Republik Guide for Demokratik Xpansion and Diplomatik Xtermination" for more hints...
