why cant i make treaty with anyone? |
i read somewhere that the chance the AI will accept a treaty is based on some point system. where it go something like this, if its relation toward you is X it will accept trade 20% and not trade 30% and so on. am i right about this? if so what is the most easy treaty to get accepted by the AI, it seem that i cant even get it to accept a 5% trade. if i cant make any treaty with the AI, then how can the relation improve. also why is it when i give gift to the AI, it will reply, your gift angers us, and the gift is somehow cancelled.

The AI typically respects strength. No real problem with that. EXCEPT when you are considered weak. Then the AI typically will make demands and attack and they are never nice guys even if their racial trait indicates otherwise.
So make yourself strong in their eyes. Not necessarily in yours. They will leave you alone and plead for trades. I was once so mad at a race that I never replied to any of their treaty requests until one offer was all of their current tech and a few other acceptable treaty elements while requiring no tech from me.

This is my favorite one to make... Trade 15% ... Non Aggression in all systems.... Share Minefield Codes...Also I never send treaty proposals out I wait for them to send me one then I counter it with that one. If they don't accept it they can go somewhere else lol. Never accept any treaty that has the parameters No research, No Intelligence, Non - Aggression (In Neutral Space.)
