Would it be possible to get a ship to recognise how many of a component it has and the firing time of the component then do a little maths in order to stop the ship firing all of it's weapons as soon as they're in range. The little maths would be to divide the reload time by the number of guns and then to only fire one every that amount of time, there would also need to be some facility to force the ship to fire all weapons at once to overcome emissive armours maybe but i'll leave that bit up for discussion as i can't see it being possible to toggle the modes.

Re: Just a thought...
These two requests should be mostly implemented by the next patch with the improvements/fixes to 'Total Targeted Damage Percentage.' By default, this option is 150% damage vs all targets. For example, when 3 CSMs doing 500 damage each have been fired at a 900 hp vessel, no more weapons should be fired at the target. This doesn't work currently, but should be working in the next version.
With TTD% and auto-targeting enabled, multi-targeting should work under conditions were overkill is inevitable.

The only way right now is to control the battle manually, and stop time after each shot.. reassign different targets .. stop tome etc,.

Re: Just a thought...
can i add a similar question here as well
how to get the ship to fire on diferent targets at the same time as t avoid overkill a small firgate with 10 CSM.
