AI Test |
Im working on my mod and have started to work on the AI. I do changes, failed ones yet, but my question is, is there anyway to test the simple AI stuff such as design construction etc without opening the game?
Re: AI Test
Well, getting answers can take some time, especially for question like this one. From my knowledge, you can only test it "live". Just let you empire run with all ministers on to see what it does...
Re: AI Test
its also worth playing the game as well as some times especially with individual ministers they work fine for the AI or when they are all on but either don’t work or work oddly when used individually. It also gives you the experience the player would get and a feel for the game balance and flow.

Re: AI Test
The ~RUNTURNS #~ cheat is excellent for AI testing. Just pop in the number of turns you want to run and it will just process them while you're off doing something else.

Re: AI Test
If you set "keep x turns" of logs to lots of turns, then you can quickly scan through the AI's logs (logging into each AI player, via "~ALLPLAYERSHUMAN~" cheat or through the options menu under players, PW by default is master).

Re: AI Test
What I do when test playing the IRM is to run a single player game and go and look what the AI's are doing every ten or twenty turns using the game> players menu I also set all scores known as if the score of all the major AI's lag behind mine I know there is something which needs investigating. The RUNTURNS CHEAT is a good idea but doing this way allows me to test and to do what I bought the game for at the same time (PLAY IT FOR FUN)
