what does the planet button w/ the gear box in the lower right hand corner do? |

in the box that let's u decide what orders you can give, there's a sphere w/ gears button. it's always grayed out for me - and i can't find it in the manual what that button does.
anyone have any ideas what i'm talking about?

It’s the Stellar Manipulation menu button and will almost always be greyed out unless you are giving orders to a ship with one of the stellar manipulation components on it.
Stellar Manipulation does things like create and destroy planets stars black holes etc and takes even in the Stock game a lot of research effort to do unless you start with all tech
