Multi tracking does it exist in SEV?

Does multi tracking from SEIV exist in SEV?

The way I uesed to use multi tracking was to shoot down a ship until they weren't a threat anymore (no weapons) then move on to the next ship then go back (if I was still alive).

If multi tracking does exist is there a way to controle shooting priorities?

‹ what does the planet button w/ the gear box in the lower right hand corner do? lockup? any way around it? ›

I think it does to an extent, but I am not sure how or how well it works at the moment. It is also apparently being improved in 1.3x

It dosent however work the way it used to in SEIV even though there is code which sugests it does or there was at one point any way

The component doesn't exist, but you can use strategies to get the same effect (..sort of. Its tricky).

There's no need for a multiplex tracking component, because by default a ship in SE5 can fire all it's weapons at different targets, though by default they basically fire everything at one target until it is dead, then move on to the next. In tactical combat you can order a ship to split it's weapons fire by using the Fire on Specific order, though it's not terribly intuative, not showing which weapons are already targeted and such.

By default the majority of the weapons have the ability in there description to be able to upto 5 targets at once. Also I am pretty sure that combat sensers has that ability also and increase beyond 5.

There's nothing about any of this in Components.txt. In SE5 a ship can fire at as many ships as it has guns. Design a ship with 50 guns, and it'll shoot at 50 targets.

You confused stock with my mod. Only IRM has multiplex added to weapons / sensors.
