Ground Combat mod 2.03b

1. Added - lots of comments throughout the scripts and data files
2. Changed - Weapon Platforms can no longer use ECM
3. Changed - some races will now use infantry weapons other than assault rifles
4. Changed - tweaked to-hit modifiers for Infantry and Artillery
5. Changed - Artillery can use small supply and ordnance storage components
6. Changed - increased max level of RPG to 100
7. Changed - variable sizes for Field Gun based on level
8. Added - Gun Shield component for Artillery
9. Added - Fortifications: obstacles and minefields
10. Added - Combat Engineers

I'm playing with the balance mod 1.04 but i find the ground combat a bit lacking... Is this mod compatible with it?

And besides being different from stock ground combat, how much of an improvement is it? (I'm sure potentialy it's great, but maybe I have to wait a few versions before it's perfect..)

As far as I know, yes. I haven't tried to merge the two because the latest scripts Captain Kwok has released are for BM 1.00 and not compatible with 1.25 of the game. I think I read somewhere he plans to release the scripts with 1.05 of the BM.

A couple of the new weapon components will need to be changed to max out at a level more in line with BM, but apart from that I can't forsee any difficulties merging the scripts and data files.

I changed almost nothing about the stock game that doesn't directly affect ground combat. About the only thing is the amount of damage populations suffer from orbital bombardments. Everything else is as per stock.
