I like the new look! Not all the colours are meant to be together, but overall it's an improvement.

The font colours on the side menus could have their brightness toned down a bit. The background colour for the header (currently cyan-ish) needs to be switched to a blue colour that is complementary to the blue hues in the side bar graphics. The green borders for text boxes etc. should be set to match the yellow-gold font colour used in the side bar menu titles.

Yes, the header is on the to-do list.. something a little more modern with links to the main sections (forums, projects, search, etc)
The green was chosen as an unique colour, in particular to denote an input field.

nice to see the update but its a bit bright at the moment. Us old fogies will have to get used to it

Well it´s a matter of personal taste, but I prefer red, not blue =)
