Fighters bays & repair?

The question I have, does the fighter bays provide the majority of the support for fighters? I would think that they would which to me means that very minor ability to repair units. Say maybe 1 to 5 pts per turn which would mean they could repair there own fighters once returning to the carrier. Our modern day carriers do have the ability to perform minor repairs.

The current fighter bays do not have any repairing capability, but it can be added easily (see repair bay for proper ability). The one downside is that it will be able to repair all units (sats, WPs, drones, etc) in the same sector as the carrier.

I tried this when fidling about with my fighter mod and its not hard to do what is hard is to limit what it repairs to fighers as all I managed to create was a lighter but fully functional repair bay with sorage for fighters.

Can't you set range to ship instead of sector?

No I dident think of that, it might work then again it might only repair the carrier!! and not the fighter
