I am utterly hopeless at 3D modelling, however I have plenty of physical models that I could take photos of and use - if it is possible to do so. Is there any way to convert a .jpg into the type of model used by the game?
For my current purposes it doesn't have to look very good. Just different.

I believe there are some effect plug-ins for Photoshop CS2 you can use. I do not use them in my daily graphic design work, but they should be out there.

Technically, it is possible, but it requires a complex (and probably very expensive) program. It's not every day that someone writes a program that can change a 2D image into a 3D model...
