ramming apperas to be broken

absolutely cannot get kamikaze craft to ram - htey move to the target and "sit" just over it.

I dont know I can always manage it but then Kzin are braver than Badgers. seriously what craft are you having a problem with ships, drones or fighters? I know it works with Drones and ships but not sure about fighters. if its fighters it might be that only one rams at a time and what you are seeing is the normal fighter mob around a target.

Nothing is braver than Badgers...
Ironically i was using - no joke- Kzin ships...

Anyway, Ph_d and i both simmed several last night (check other thread) -
and ironically, it works if you use the left-click ram command. If you let the AI do it 9automove/autotarget), nothing happens.

i had seen drones work fine, automove i mean - it appears to only affcet ships ( i don't have any kamikaze fighters handy to sim)...

all this produces an interesting situation whereby I can use kamikaze and the AI can't.
of course it insists on still BUILDING them of course, and the idea of a Kamikaze BAttleship Just Irks Me

That explains why it works for me as I do it manualy it not being my tactic of preference exept with drones. As you are aware there isent any other tactic to use with drones with the IRM mod the things are either anti ship or anti planet misiles as badger knows. There is a purpouse for drone carriers though to sneak past warp point blockades cloaked and blow up its orbital stations with a drone salvo lanched from a claoked ship.
