Significant Issue with Weapons

So, I just got the game (downloaded it off the Publisher's website, Strategyfirst) today, and I've been playing around for a few hours when I noticed something.

Every single weapon has the exact same listings for accuracy. Capital Ship Missles, Anti-Particle Rays (or whatever they are), Depleted Uranium.... they have different damage and max ranges, but as far as their accuracy goes it is simply 10 range, -10 accuracy. 20 range, -20 accuracy, on and on forever on every weapon.

Well, this can't be right, so I was wondering if anyone knew what might be the cause of this. Thanks a lot!

Note seeker weapons are not actually affected by accuracy...

Direct Fire weapons start at 100 accuracy, so -10 at range 10 really means 90% accuracy and so on...

kwok: Are seekers affected by defense?
A little bird told me turn rates are broken and thats why seekers don't miss.
A discussion i tried to follow in a forum seemed to imply the damage was affected by defense ...

also; Sane, there are other weapons outside the Stock game that provide different accuracy #'s.
check the point-defense weapons, they have a different accuracy rating at short range.

Seekers aren't effected by defense. They can miss if they turn slow enough and the target moves fast enough, but ECM and such doesn't do anything.

Damage is not affected by defense. Check the discussion again, I tested it. Smiling
