Fleets cause lockups

Submitted by jastermerrel on Sun, 2007-02-04 18:22. Technical Support

Hi.
I'm running SE5 v1.25 on an Atlon XP 2200, 512MB RAM, Win XP, nVidia GeForce 4 card. The game runs fine for the most part, except when using fleets. If I move a fleet to a planet, the game locks. If I use fleet transfer and try to remove a ship from the fleet, the game locks. If I use a fleet to attack ANYTHING the game locks. Does anyone know of a way to fix this problem. I have tried reloading from a saved game, I have autosave after every turn on. I have tried turning the sound off. Nothing works. This is the first game in ages that has really kept my interest. Please help.

Not seen this one as fleets always work fine for me but I would e-mail it with effected save games to MM and wait a couple of days and Aaron will get back to you.

Thanks for the reply. Last night I under setup, I turned the Video Memory Usage to "Safe". That seems to have gotten rid of this problem, and I see no loss to performance in the game whatsoever.
