Space Empires V General
Hey there!
I recentley formatted my PC and lost all my applications. I copied all my games safely though.
I also decided to leave steam unistalled as I despise it. BUT now none of the patches will work on my copied star empires! The game wouldnt even run until I got a patch for that...
Can anyody help me to get up to date without having to rebuy star empires from STEAM?!!?

Slander requires saying something that is not true. Steam is crap. I can demonstrate that it is crap. You can now demonstrate that it is crap, so it is not slander.

If you have a steam version it can only be patched with the steam version of the patch as far as I am aware and that’s not yet available and wont be for a day or so if things follow the normal pattern of events.
All I can suggest is that you buy a boxed copy from Strategy first since you dislike steam so much. Of course this still means you have paid for it twice effectively and have one copy stuck at v 1.20 permanently. It might be easier and cheaper to reinstall Steam much as you don’t want to
It might be possible to remove references to steam from your current version but I have no idea how to and am convinced that doing so might well be Illegal and unethical.
