Firstly, you are limited to the number of effects in the effects files. Navigate to SE5 main directory/Pictures/Effects. Beam_0X.bmp is what you can use currently. Say you wanted to use the last effect in Beam_01.bmp, it would be Beam 4 in the Weapon Space Display Effect Name field in components.txt
The Anti - Proton Beam uses Beam 10, this would be the second graphic in Beams_03.bmp
The beam burn color relates to an RGB of when the beam hits shields. In this case 72, 235, 0 means it will look green to match the beam graphic.
