AI population growth

AI population number doesn't increase. What can I do to exclude this error?

Did you modify any of the code? The stock AI's normally do fairly well in terms of population growth. In fact it almost seems like a bug because they spend resources building freighters to shuttle them around rather than advancing research and defense. A weakness in the overall scripting I think...

Yes, I changed Data folder: Components.txt , VehicleSizes.txt , DamageTypes.txt , Facilities.txt , ShieldAndArmorLevels.txt in Standard SE5 Mod. I added Plasma shields, modified parameters of all components. It is much more interesting to play now!!! But... But AI population doesn't grow. And I have no idea how write scripts. Is it incorrect to change "Tonnage Space Taken Formula" in *txt files without script writing?

I found answer. IQ puts colony in Outer hull. In my mod it is impossible to do, because colony is placed only in inner hull.
