Treaty options

Submitted by Lord Charles on Fri, 2007-01-19 10:35. Space Empires V FAQs

Why do your treaty options apply to the other AI's that you have no treaty with?

ie: I have a no bombard planet treaty with AI X and am at war with AI Y and I can't attack AI Y' planets

Seems to me that any treaty between 2 parties should just apply to those 2 parties or is this a bug.........

Check the fine print

Submitted by BlueM99n84 on Fri, 2007-01-19 11:35.

Seems like I remember that you have to read the fine print. Some elements are applicable to one side of the treaty but some say no to all. I think it was intentional but is kind of quirky the way it works. Have stumbled a couple of times not paying attention to those details.

i just wish you could

Submitted by kanaric on Fri, 2007-01-19 18:39.

i just wish you could destroy weapon platforms on a planet, only thing that makes it hard to capture and thereis no way to target just those.

edit: also an option to set on ships to not bombard a planet to death, just attack the platform

Submitted by darkgift on Fri, 2007-01-19 12:46. I always thought it was strange that it cost a ship 1 movement point regardless of whether a sector contained a planet, asteroid field, or just empty space. Maybe the cost for moving through non-empty sectors should be raised, especially for the larger hulls.
there are people who do the same thing in real life, too...

put their toys among civilians

sometimes you have to go in and take the ground "surgerical strike" style

I'm afraid i'll have to side with the SE5 team on this one.... Dammmit.

Anyone who wants power; by definition, cannot be trusted with it...
