How to loose your home system.

Well i had an interesting moment last night.

By sheer fluke i began to the game in a system where there where 13 planets and 9 of them where my races atmosphere. So i had a nice little power house economy going.

I thought i was quite safe as my main planets all had Space Stations defending them. Turns out however that i'd built them all with no place to store supplies so they where unable to raise the shields or do much of anything.

Needless to say, i discovered this whilst my main fleet was away from home and an enemy empire attacked. To my horror i discovered i had the powerhouses of my empire defended by useless hunks of floating metal, which promptly got blown out of the sky.

All in all...not a good idea.

That happenned to me back in

That happenned to me back in Space Empires IV, with the supplyless stations. It took me forever to figure out what the hell was going on, having just come from Space Empires III, in which all ships came with a set amount of supply.
