New at multiplayer... any suggestions?

Hi! I've been with Space Empires since 1998, with Space Empires III, but have always played on my own. I've decided to make the leap to multiplayer via PBW with Space Empires V, and was curious about the most significant differences between single- and multi-player gaming in the Space Empires universe.

So... what are the most significant differences between single- and multi-player play in the Space Empires universe?

Thanks a lot!

Humans

Computers are logical and will always play to an aligorithim....Which once learned can make player a single game very easy to beat.

Humans are just the opposite, and desperation (and this is in any online game) make humans extremely unpredictable. Thus harder to beat.

I know this sounds like common sense but hey why not say it anyway.
