Need some Decimals |
I'm 22.6 years into my 1.20 game and have noticed a problem with production/research/intel point fields. I'm cranking out 2mt of minerals and 2mt(?) of research. It's costing me 1mt of minerals for maintaining my ships. It's really difficult to get a handle on exactly how much my 1mt or 2mt is. Is my 2mt really a rounded up 1mt like 1.6mt or is it a rounded down 2mt like 2.4mt?
These data fields need some decimals, atleast one so we can get a better feel for how much that 2mt really is. There's plenty of wasted space in those data fields to support decimals. Two decimals would be great, but one decimal place is a necessity.
Research and intel are not produced in "tons" so they should read "2m" not "2mt".
Atmosphere conversion happened right on time!
Now I'll be jacking up all my production into the millions.

"Tons"
FYI, "kilotons" and "megatons" are just generic strings used everywhere. If you look, EVERYTHING is labeled in "KT", not just resources, tonnage, and the like. Just think of "KT" as "unit" and "MT" as "unitx1000"

look at the top of the screen
Resource values use conventional rounding rules( 1.49 rounding to 1 & 1.5 to 2) but the actual value in storage is displayed on the top RHS of the screen working from the centre out minerals, organics, radioactive. The way it is, is ok for a general check but a more detailed analysis would help and should be available if you want it.
I am surprised how well the UI works personally as its never going to be simple because the game is a very complex one. It does need more filter options on certain screens but its getting there
